Best Hummus
This best hummus is a quick and easy homemade hummus that combines creamy tahini, healthy chickpeas, and fresh lemon for a delicious vegan dip packed with flavor and nutrients.

- 1½ cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- ⅓ cup smooth tahini
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 5 tablespoons water, or as needed to blend
- Paprika, red pepper flakes, and/or fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Warm pita bread and/or veggies (for serving)
Add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt to a high-speed blender or food processor.
Blend on high, gradually adding water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is silky smooth and reaches your desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning, adding a touch more lemon juice or salt if needed.
Scoop the hummus into a serving bowl, then sprinkle with paprika or red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh parsley.
Drizzle with additional olive oil just before serving, if desired. Pair with warm pita bread or crunchy veggies.
