Best Hummus

This best hummus is a quick and easy homemade hummus that combines creamy tahini, healthy chickpeas, and fresh lemon for a delicious vegan dip packed with flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients
  

  • cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • cup smooth tahini
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 5 tablespoons water, or as needed to blend
  • Paprika, red pepper flakes, and/or fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Warm pita bread and/or veggies (for serving)

Instructions
 

  • Add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt to a high-speed blender or food processor.
  • Blend on high, gradually adding water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is silky smooth and reaches your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning, adding a touch more lemon juice or salt if needed.
  • Scoop the hummus into a serving bowl, then sprinkle with paprika or red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Drizzle with additional olive oil just before serving, if desired. Pair with warm pita bread or crunchy veggies.
