Ingredients

  • 1 package potato gnocchi 16 ounces
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce 26 ounces
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Cook the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and chopped onion. Cook, breaking apart the meat, until the chicken is no longer pink and the onion is translucent—about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  • Pour in the spaghetti sauce. Stir in the salt and dried oregano. Let the mixture simmer gently for 5-10 minutes until heated through, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Gently fold the cooked gnocchi into the skillet, ensuring every piece is coated in the sauce. If desired, sprinkle generously with shredded Parmesan for a rich, savory finish.
