Cuisine American
- 1 package potato gnocchi 16 ounces
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce 26 ounces
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Shredded Parmesan cheese optional
Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Cook the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and chopped onion. Cook, breaking apart the meat, until the chicken is no longer pink and the onion is translucent—about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Pour in the spaghetti sauce. Stir in the salt and dried oregano. Let the mixture simmer gently for 5-10 minutes until heated through, allowing the flavors to meld.
Gently fold the cooked gnocchi into the skillet, ensuring every piece is coated in the sauce. If desired, sprinkle generously with shredded Parmesan for a rich, savory finish.
