Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder for extra crispiness
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step is key for crispiness.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, baking powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure they’re evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each wing and bake for another 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and sides.

Notes

To achieve perfect crispiness, make sure the chicken wings are patted dry prior to coating. Consider using aluminum-free baking powder for best flavor.
