Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup cubed fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 cup chopped peeled mango or frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons grated lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon spreadable cream cheese (optional)
  • Optional toppings: Lime wedges, sliced banana, sliced almonds, granola, dark chocolate chips, additional shredded coconut

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients as listed above. If your banana or mango isn’t frozen, chop them into small pieces and freeze them ahead of time for a creamier texture.
  • In a blender, combine the frozen banana, fresh spinach, ice cubes, pineapple, mango, Greek yogurt, shredded coconut, honey, lime zest, lime juice, and vanilla extract. If using cream cheese, add it now for an extra creamy finish.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. Pause to scrape down the sides of the blender if needed to ensure everything is fully incorporated.
  • Pour the smoothie mixture into two chilled bowls. Chilling the bowls helps maintain the thick texture for longer.
  • Top with your favorite add-ons, such as sliced bananas, granola, dark chocolate chips, lime wedges, or additional shredded coconut.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical creation!
