Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional, for added brightness)

Instructions

  • Start by peeling and dicing the mangoes into small pieces. Hull and slice the strawberries.
  • In a blender or food processor, combine the mangoes, strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sugar or lime juice as needed. Blend briefly again to incorporate any adjustments.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish. Cover the dish airtight and place it in the freezer.
  • Let the sorbet freeze for 4-6 hours, stirring every couple of hours to break up ice crystals for a smoother texture.
  • Once fully frozen, scoop and serve your homemade strawberry sorbet immediately!

Notes

Choose ripe fruits for the best flavor, and stir the sorbet every few hours during freezing for a smoother texture.
