black pepper
Optional toppings
Freshly grated parmesan, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, or flaky sea salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Halve each zucchini lengthwise, then halve each piece again to create quarters. Finally, slice quarters crosswise into sticks, about 8 per zucchini.
In a large bowl, combine the zucchini sticks, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.
Arrange the seasoned zucchini on the baking sheet in a single layer, cut side down for optimal browning.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are a rich golden-brown hue and the centers are tender.
Before serving, sprinkle with optional toppings like parmesan or lemon zest for extra flavor.
Notes
Want to switch things up? Use avocado oil instead of olive oil for a higher smoke point, or swap oregano for smoked paprika for a bold twist.
